The #WomenLeadingonClimate social media campaign, which launched November 11th, focused on amplifying women’s critical role in climate action and calling for urgent, accountable policies at COP29. The campaign empowered women worldwide to share their story and demand more ambitious climate leadership.

Reporting Highlights (November 11–17, 2024):

By uniting voices from across the globe, the campaign leveraged digital storytelling and influencer collaborations to inspire urgent action and set the stage for sustained women-led climate advocacy. 

The #WomenLeadingonClimate campaign tapped into a powerful “now more than ever” sentiment, inspiring women and girls to share their stories and call for urgent climate action. 

Instagram emerged as a key platform for engagement, with its visual storytelling capabilities amplifying voices and fostering a sense of global solidarity. 

The campaign demonstrated a desire for spaces where women can lead the conversation on climate justice, including voices from climate influencers like Vanessa Nakate, Sophia Kianni, Arizona Muse, and Tori Tsui

As we look ahead to 2025, the momentum sparked by #WomenLeadingonClimate will continue to amplify women’s leadership, catalyzing the change our planet needs.
