New York Climate Week 2026

September 20 – 27, 2026

This event spotlighted two critical climate policy leaders: Teresa Ribera (European Commission EVP for a Clean, Just, and Competitive Transition) and Katie White OBE MP (UK Minister for Climate Transition).

They shared personal reflections on women's climate leadership -- highlighting that women remain underrepresented at the highest echelons of power -- and how it is needed now more than ever as we push for ambitious climate policy. It is especially important to have women in the conversation because they bring it back down to earth, focusing on practical outcomes including cleaner air, cheaper energy, and healthier and more equitable communities. The conversation then turned to the 150 women in the room for a lively discussion on reaching people by leading with positivity, pragmatism, and a sense that each person can be part of the change.
